Yakima Valley College’s Step up to College (SUTC) Program provides opportunities for high school-age (16-20) individuals in Grandview, Mabton, Ellensburg, Kittitas, and Stevenson-Carson school districts to earn their high school diploma or GED. SUTC is open to individuals who have stopped out of high school or are short on the credits they need to graduate. Students admitted to the program can enroll at the YVC Yakima or Grandview campuses, or the Ellensburg, Toppenish, or Sunnyside Learning Centers to earn credit towards their high school diploma or obtain a GED. Students must be approved by both their district and YVC to participate in SUTC. There is no cost for students to participate in the program.

YVC High School 21+ is another college re-engagement program available to students who are 21 and older. The HS21+ Program builds on prior student achievement by awarding high school credit based on prior knowledge through training and/or work experience, credits on the student’s high school transcript, as well as standardized and college placements tests used at YVC. HS21+ tuition is $25 per quarter.
