Board of Trustees
Yakima Valley College is governed by a five-member board of trustees consisting of
citizens who reside throughout Community College District 16. Board members are appointed
by the Governor.

Community Relations core functions include media relations, communications, creative
design services, photography, legislative relations, website content design and updates,
publicity, and public relations.

Human Resource Services Department provides quality employment and professional development services to support a diverse learning centered institution in compliance with established Affirmative Action policies.
Public Records
Public Records for a state institution include any record containing information relating to the conduct of college business that is prepared, owned, used, or retained by the college. Only existing documents are releasable.
Consumer Information
YVC provides consumer information to the general public as well as students, faculty
and prospective students. The state, federal laws and college policy under the HEA
of 1965 dictates the criteria for this information.
Foundation
Yakima Valley College Foundation exists to provide scholarships to students and support
Yakima Valley College. Since its inception in 1977 the Foundation has provided many
students with scholarships and financial assistance.
