Named Endowments and Scholarships

You may establish a named endowment in honor or memory of an individual, organization or other entity with a minimum investment of $25,000.

To encourage charitable giving the U.S. tax laws have historically provided generous incentives. They have remained intact through the enactment of the 1986 Tax Reform Act. The incentives include immediate income tax deductions for gifts made during your lifetime and deductions for estate tax purposes for gifts made according to your will.

Invest in the Future

Contributions to endowment funds are investments in the future. In an endowment fund, the principal is invested in perpetuity, with most of the annual investment earnings used for the purpose of the endowed fund. In this way, the endowment becomes a long-term source of funding for Yakima Valley College students.
