About Lisa Dominguez

I have been working for YVC since 2011. I started as a Lab Assistant and worked my way to a Full Time Tenured Faculty as of March 2024. I have enjoyed working at YVC for two stand out reasons. One, the students; YVC students come from all walks of life but have one thing in common, they want to learn, grow and better themselves. I love being a part of that process. Two, my colleagues; it is a joy to work alongside innovative instructors who really care about their students and about the learning process. 

My online courses prepare students for different health care careers. I carefully plan my courses with the new learner in mind. I strive to make them organized and accessible so the structure doesn’t get in the way of the learning. I attempt to include learning opportunities for all learning styles. 

Professionally, I am always in search of the next opportunity to grow in my instructional design and teaching and learning skills. Personally, I garden, hike, spend time with my family and friends and oddly enough, I love to clean and organize just about anything but especially my house!
