Casey Riedner, a catcher on Yakima Valley's softball team, has received a national honor.

Riedner has been named an All-America Scholar Athlete by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, having compiled a 4.0 grade point average at the college. A sophomore from Colton, Riedner is one of the Yaks catchers.
