Yakima Valley Community College

Upward Bound

Yakima Valley Community College Upward Bound (YVCC UB) provides fundamental support to target high school participants in their preparation for college entrance. Target schools are Sunnyside, Granger, Toppenish, and Wapato High Schools. YVCC UB serves high school students from low-income families and high school students from families in which neither parent holds a bachelor's degree.

Our targeted summer academic program, tutoring services, learning skills workshops, and events support participants' succeed in their pre-college academic performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits. The overall goal of YVCC UB is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education and enroll in and graduate from college in a major of their choice.
