 Quarterly Schedule

Full Time and Part time students:

Full-time Students
Full time student is someone who is taking ten or more credits per quarter. Financial Aid and some other funding sources require that full time students be registered for 12 or more credits per quarter.

If you are planning to attend full time you will need to apply to the college and take an ASSET test for course placement. When you have completed the application and testing, you will receive an appointment for Orientation, Advising and Registration.

Part-time students
Students who are planning on registering for less than 10 credits do not need to apply for admission to YVCC. An ASSET test is still required if you are planning to take English, math, or reading classes, or any classes that require the ASSET as a prerequisite.

You may register for Evening and Weekend classes as soon as you receive the quarterly schedule in the mail. If you are planning to take day classes, you may register during the week before classes start.

If you plan to earn a degree, you should apply for admissions to YVCC. When you register for your classes, please advise the registration office that you will be continuing to take classes each quarter. Once you have taken 20 credits at YVCC, you will automatically be given a registration appointment as a continuing college student.

It is very important to read all correspondence and information from YVCC and follow directions carefully.
